Fundraising
How to keep it going over the
summer
Summer comes and fundraising slows down . . . but it
doesn't have to.
Fundraising tips from Jo in VA:
- Try to accomplish most of your fundraising over the
summer so you can enjoy the competition season.
- If you normally purchase scrip, keep your
ordering routine for over the summer.
- Sell wrapping paper, cards, etc. during the summer
before most schools start in the fall.
- Based on past experience, it was discovered that
discount cards sold at the beginning of the summer
sell better than in the fall.
- Visit those companies who said they didn't have the
money to sponsor the team last season. Their fiscal
year could have changed, which means they have the money
now.
GIMS is working on developing a
searchable database fundraisers. Please send us your
suggestions to add to our current fundraisers. Email BJ with the details.
