Concessions can be a large fundraiser for clubs at home meets. Below are some of the basic fares to serve and maybe a new one for you. Please share your ideas on what has worked for you.
Basic Tips
Be sure to check your local guidelines for serving food.
Don't be afraid to ask! Solicit local business for sanitary gloves, hot dog holders, coffee stirers, coffee, muffins, donuts, bagels, packets of condiments, plates, napkins and more. Remember, the more donated items you have - the larger your profit will be. (Be sure to acknowledge their contributions during the meet.)
Visit Sams Club, Costco, BJ's, etc. and request items to be donated for your meet. Most require at least a 30 day notice.
Most pizza businesses will negotiate with you for a cheaper price.
Be creative in your set up. Items that are visually appealing and easy to reach will sell the most.
Give attendees a choice "pulled pork sandwich for $2.00 or a combo that includes chips and a drink for $3.50."
